Procurement lawyer 2+ years’ PQE NEWCASTLE-UPON-TYNE

Our client, a commercial law firm in Newcastle-upon-Tyne is looking to recruit a number of Procurement law Associates at a range of levels from junior to senior associate. The Associates will work on a broad range of procurement projects, supporting and helping to expand the existing Procurement capability.  

You'll be working on big ticket projects with a great mix of clients and sectors from across the firm including central government, transport, regeneration, waste, leisure, IT, education, health, local government, universities, construction and major development projects. You'll assist with developing clients' Procurement strategies, drafting and reviewing all Procurement documentation and providing technically excellent advice on the big procurement issues of the day. You will also work on defending and bringing Procurement challenges as part of our client’s very strong contentious Procurement practice. With a proven track record in providing Procurement advice, whether in the public or private sectors, you'll be joining a team advising on Procurement law aspects of a range of projects including large scale complex projects, major outsourcing initiatives, joint ventures and regeneration projects in the public and utilities sectors.

Candidates will need to have experience of working on a specialised basis on Procurement projects.  You must also have a good understanding of procurement law theory and practice.
