Senior International Legal Counsel

• Providing pragmatic and timely legal advice to all companies within the group in all legal matters
• Drafting, reviewing and negotiating a wide variety of English and German language commercial contracts
• Handling or assisting to handle international M&A projects (share and asset acquisitions), including drafting all sale and purchase documentation and participating in legal due diligence investigations
• Antitrust (competition) law assessments
• Handling legal disputes, investigations of authorities and settlements and managing external counsel in coordination with superior
• Internal know-how presentations relating to legal topics

Necessary personal qualifications for the position:

University degree in law and completed second German State Exam preferably with above-average grades, or any (equivalent) foreign (US/UK) law exam as such as solicitor or attorney-at-law

• At least 7 years of PQE, preferably with a minimum of 3 years PQE in the pharmaceutical or life science industry
• Experience drafting and negotiating commercial contracts typical within the life science industry
• Preferably experience in M&A projects (asset deals and share deals)
• Fluent command of English and preferably German
• Entrepreneurial thinking and action
• Ability to work effectively with minimal supervision
• Commitment, communication skills and ability to work in a team
