Our client is an FCA registered, highly successful asset and liability management partnership business based in Central London and is seeking to recruit a lawyer with to join its legal function, reporting directly into the Head of Legal. Day to day responsibilities will include:
- Acting as the first port of call for organisational wide BAU legal issues, whether reviewing commercial contracts, or drafting initial business contracts.
- Management of, and liaison with, external legal counsel and/or related specialists.
- Assisting if needed, with their fund pooling programme
- Advising HR when needed on legal employment matters as well as be the interface with external HR lawyers if needed.
- Developing a suite of standard documentation and commercial terms
- Manage all BAU legal processes, any litigation and business transactions
- Draft, review, negotiate and administer legal and transactional documentations.
- Keep management and relevant group departments abreast of new laws and regulations that may have implications to the Company.
The ideal candidate will be a qualified lawyer with at least 3 years post qualification experience gained in-house or in private practice and have a good understanding of some of the following areas of law: Corporate, Commercial, Employment, Pensions, Property and Financial Services. Experience of investment management work (including fund formation, negotiation of IMAs and side letters) would be particularly useful but is not essential.
