Our client is looking for a highly experienced Senior Counsel to join their rapidly growing legal team. The role will be primarily responsible for handling transactional matters and providing compliance support to the sales and management team across EMEA and APAC. The role will also involve working to meet key legal and business objectives across EMEA and APAC reporting to the Director of Legal.

Description
- The Senior Counsel will review, draft and manage English language and English law software licenses (both on-premise and SaaS licenses), resale and referral agreements, NDAs and vendor/supplier contracts in accordance with company policies and risk tolerance.
- Managing outside counsel on non-English law transactions across APAC and EMEA.
- Respond promptly to legal requests from internal clients across functional groups, summarising and communicating legal concepts in a manner that business people can understand.
- Support the continuous improvement of standard form agreements.
- Advise on legal issues and risks, approval processes, company policies and procedures, and business strategy across EMEA and APAC.
- Provide general assistance or consult with outside counsel, as needed, on a variety of other matters including, corporate governance, employment, IP, compliance, mergers and acquisitions, and data protection.
Profile
Minimum Qualifications:
- English law qualified with at least 5 years of relevant post qualification experience at a top-tier law firm and/or in-house.
- Extensive experience negotiating software licenses, resale and referral agreements, NDAs and vendor/supplier contracts under English law.
- A good working knowledge of EU data protection law.
- Working knowledge of employment, compliance, general corporate law or other cross-functional matters preferred, but not required.
- Any non-English law and jurisdiction experience is not required but would be a bonus.
