Corporate Paralegal

An outstanding opportunity has become available for a proven corporate paralegal looking for a step up in responsibility to take on a broad and challenging permanent position at a US law firm as they look to expand their London office. The hire would actually be the first paralegal hire within the London team and therefore represents a unique challenge, supporting two teams of fee earners across an exciting range of high-end transactions in the capital markets space.

The role would see you sit within the capital markets team but support the wider corporate division and would get you involved in a huge range of large-scale, cross-border listings and IPOs with a heavy focus on equity capital markets offerings and the associated documentation such as prospectuses. You would also gain excellent exposure to international M&A deals as well as various elements of corporate governance and maintenance. As the sole paralegal, you would be afforded a huge degree of responsibility and the role promises to be very diverse and keep the work fresh. The team is highly regarded in the IPO space and acts as a trusted advisor to many of the top-tier investment banks.

To be suitable for this role you must have completed the LPC and have a strong academic record all-round. You will also need a minimum of 2 years of specific paralegal experience in corporate law acquired from a comparable team – ideally a City law firm – and have gained significant experience working with equity capital market products in particular. You should also have an excellent work ethic to effectively support a broad team of lawyers across various corporate sectors, the ability to work efficiently to deadlines in a busy team and a passion for this sector of law.
