We are looking for a really strong C&B specialist looking to join an exciting new business as it grows and develops it's brand in Europe. Not only is this an exciting new business to work with, they have a really energetic and forward thinking office environment with a focus on wellness. You will come on board and work with the C&B European lead to develop, administer and support the client benefits, perks, leaves and compensation programs for their Europe retail business. This role requires a team player with ability to provide high level of customer service, with ability to deal with confidential information appropriately.
Core Accountabilities:
- Acts as the voice of compensation and benefits for European employees collectively and individually. Advocates for employees' needs within People & Culture, and in turn represents philosophy and policy to employees.
- Analyses, researches and interprets benefit plan designs, competitiveness, and associated costs.
- Makes recommendations for benefit plan changes based on feedback from employees, client philosophy and market trends.
- Partners with, coordinates and communicates with third party providers (brokers and vendors) on benefits issues.
- Supports the introduction of new systems by analyzing and documenting detailed functional requirements relating to compensation and benefits and performing testing and audits as required.
- Reviews and analyzes group benefit plan contracts and documentation.
- Has knowledge of regional compliance rules including leaves of absence and vacation/sick leave administration as well as taxable benefits.
- Provides expert advice on the compensation components in the region within existing frameworks.
- Administers bonus calculations for the region.
- Supports Payroll Administrators to ensure proper deductions, adjustments and reimbursements.
- Manage emails and voice mail on a daily basis - ensuring 24-hour response to questions.
- Demonstrates continuous effort to improve operations, decrease turnaround times, streamline work processes, and work cooperatively and jointly to provide quality seamless customer service.
- Ensure training and communications materials are up to date, partnering with internal and external resources as required.
- Assist with special projects as assigned by functional and regional leadership.
- Participate in the completion of compensation and benefit surveys.
- Provide ad hoc compensation and benefits reports for various internal stakeholders.
Academic/Educational Requirements:
- Post secondary education in related field (e.g. HR, finance)
- Holds or is willing to obtain relevant qualifications
Required Skills/Experience:
- Minimum 2-3 years related experience, specifically with European benefits, perks and leavers programmes
- Knowledge of and one to three years' experience with Benefits Modules in HRIS, time and labour and payroll systems. Workday and ADP systems preferred.
- Knowledge in total reward principles, processes and best and/or common practices
- Expert knowledge in Microsoft Excel and other Office software, as well as quantitative analysis
- Superior ability to work collaboratively cross-functionally and with matrix reporting relationships
- Expert customer service skills.
- Excellent analytical skills. Must be great with numbers and data, and very detail oriented.
- Strong organisational and time management skills.
- Expert verbal and written communication skills.
