Legal Counsel

Global services company with a presence in over 200 countries require the services of a Commercial Lawyer for a period of six months, based at their Central London offices. This is to provide a period of cover for an internal secondment.

About the Role

Working as part of a friendly and talented legal team, the duties of the Commercial Lawyer will include the following:

• Drafting, reviewing, negotiating and advising on a wide range of contracts including client & supplier agreements, digital product initiatives, business innovation projects, product development, licensing arrangements, and other general commercial matters.
• Data protection and regulatory advice
• Intellectual property matters
• Managing relationships with external counsel
• Providing training across the business on key legal issues

About You

This role requires a commercial lawyer with solid law firm training and ideally some in-house experience as well. Any previous intellectual property work would also be viewed favourably. The client believes that the nature of the work is best suited to candidates with at least three years' PQE, although all applications will be considered on merit. You will be an individual who is used to developing relationships with internal clients at all levels of an organisation, and be able to switch with ease between complex and routine tasks on a daily basis.
