Opportunity within the housing management team of a Birmingham law firm acting on matters relating to tenancy agreements, service charges and other non-contentious property issues.
Client Details
A Legal 500 rated Birmingham law firm.
Description
This is an opportunity for a mid-level solicitor to join the property team of a Legal 500 firm in Birmingham city centre.
The team sits within the wider Real Estate with a particular focus on managing specific projects for its property clients. It's a varied role and slightly different to the usual landlord and tenant roles seen within a lot of Birmingham firms.
You would be advising on day-to-day management issues which would typically involve advice around tenancy agreements, service charges, management agreements and enforcement issues.
The work is all non-contentious but the team work very closely alongside their property litigation colleagues.
This is an opportunity to do something a bit different in an established team working alongside a senior Partner and junior fee earners.
The firm recognises that it is an unusually varied role and are therefore happy to look at solicitors with some experience in the matters above who want to take on a role that purely focuses on these areas.
Supervision will be a key element of this role and you will be expected to help mentor the junior members of the team.
In return you will be given a great opportunity to progress in a relatively small team and to take the lead with clients and specific projects.
Profile
Ideally you will have experience across all or some of tenancy agreements, service charges, management agreements and enforcement issues. For the right person, our client can look at solicitors with experience in some of those areas who is willing to learn.
The ability to supervise juniors is crucial with this role.
Job Offer
Working within a small team, with great autonomy and the potential to learn and specialise.
