Legal Counsel EMEA (Cyber Tech)

My client is a US Cloud/Data security business protecting over 1 billion identities from global data centers and offering single sign-on and access security. They now need to hire a Legal Counsel (EMEA) to focus in negotiating commercial contracts with UK and EU customers. The ideal candidate will have 3-6 years PQE ideally having gained in-house experience from an established IT Business. You will report to the US General Counsel and work closely with a very successful commercial team.

The Role
You will act as the legal representative in EMEA for the business where in an expanding office of key business and sales representatives. The premise of this role is to work autonomously in negotiating commercial contracts with Multinational UK and EU customers which are complex legal agreements. The role will expose you to a broad range of commercial/IT legal matters where you will draft and negotiate IT agreements (cloud and on premise services) and report directly to the US General Counsel. As this position is an EMEA Lawyer role you will be expected to Travel throughout the EU and work as a team player in deal closings.

The Candidate
The ideal candidate will be UK Qualified with 3-6 years PQE with strong academics. Must have a proven track history of being a pragmatic lawyer who can think fast and is comfortable to deliver commercial (non legal) solutions. Must have thorough UK Commercial Law experience, candidates having knowledge of French and/or German law is advantageous.
