Your new company
My client is a household name retail bank with branches across the UK. We are recruiting for a Senior Litigation Lawyer to join the corporate functions legal team.

Your new role
As a Senior Litigation Lawyer you will be responsible for handling strategic claims and managing a portfolio of contentious matters. You will have one direct report and will have regular interactions with the General Counsel as well as other board level stakeholders. This position supports the bank as a whole and will link in with all legal teams to ensure consistency and promote a team outlook.

What you'll need to succeed
You will have demonstrable experience of working in a Senior Litigation position either within a banking environment or a corresponding practice discipline. You will be confident when dealing with both substantive and procedural litigation but also have expert knowledge of alternative dispute resolution techniques (defendant and claimant). The ability to facilitate agreements efficiently and in the best interests of all parties is key for this role.

What you'll get in return
This is an excellent opportunity to work for a household name in retail banking, gaining strong exposure to business critical work. The role is projected for a 6 month period to cover an internal secondment.
