One of the UK's nationally leading retail banks is looking to hire a Senior Litigation Lawyer for a six month FTC, based in the City of London.
About the role
Leading a small team, the Senior Litigation Lawyer will be responsible to lead the effective management of litigation. They will be exposed to both claimant side litigation and defended actions.
Key responsibilities
- Developing effective relationships with key stakeholders, providing advice and support primarily relating to resolution of complaints, claims and disputes
- Ensure that legal developments, statutory or otherwise, that affect the handling of dispute resolution and contentious regulatory matters are identified and being addressed
- Identify potential issues of systematic risk and provide appropriate training and risk reporting to mitigate these risks
- Work collaboratively with a broad based team on significant bank wide projects
Key requirements of the Senior Litigation Lawyer role
- Qualified lawyer in common law of at least five years PQE+
- Expert technical knowledge and experience in litigation (substantive and procedural) and ADR techniques
- Expert technical knowledge and experience in banking/financial services law and regulation, covering commercial contracts, fraud and operational issues
