Our client is a very high calibre US private equity fund with offices internationally and in London. They have exclusively retained Greenway Collins to hire a high calibre, qualified legal associate (NY Bar or E&W ideally although they would consider those attorneys qualified in Australia or NZ) with outstanding academic and law firm credentials. Their mid-sized London office is very well regarded for upper mid-markets transactions and is a fantastic environment where you will have the ability to work closely with leading investment professionals on high quality transactions.

Position:

• The successful candidate will primarily be working on complex cross-border private equity transactions in tandem with the General Counsel EMEA.
• In addition, there will be some opportunity to leverage a finance or securities background in this position and our client is open to seeing exceptional candidates with this experience as well as those from a traditional private equity or more general M&A background.

Requirements:

• Candidates will likely have between 2 and 5 years' post-qualification experience.
• At least 2 years' corporate/finance experience gained at a top magic/silver circle or US law firm either in the UK or other well-regarded jurisdiction.
• Academic excellence is excpected.
• Our client typically hires attorneys straight from private practice at this level, however, those lawyers with exceptional and comparable experience within a fund are encouraged to apply.
