Costs Partner/Partner Designate

A highly regarded Legal 500 listed national commercial practice is expanding its specialist Costs Department and is keen to recruit a Costs Solicitor / Costs Draftsperson / Costs Lawyer at Partner level and be based at the firms' headquarters in Birmingham city centre.

The firm has a reputation as a specialist in several sectors such as private client, banking & financial services, manufacturing, energy, education, real estate, personal injury and clinical negligence.

The Costs Team is undergoing further expansion and so is looking to appoint a Costs Solicitor at Partner level and who can bring a following or a part following to the firm. The Costs Team not only provides an in-house function to the business but also acts for a variety of external law firms on both claimant and defendant matters and in a variety of subject areas.

You will be a solicitor, a legal executive or a costs lawyer with a minimum of 5 years' PQE. It is absolutely crucial that you have a portable following or a part following and that you are well connected. You will have experience of business development, networking and preparing and delivering training seminars, and it would also help if you had an active online presence.

The firm is offering a very competitive salary and benefits package and will allow you to have autonomy in your role and will provide the opportunity to make a significant contribution in shaping the department going forwards.

This is the perfect opportunity for a skilled costs lawyer who is disillusioned in their current role and who is tiring of having their partnership prospects delayed year on year. Alternatively, this role would suit an existing partner who is perhaps looking to move to a stable and secure practice which boasts a number of revenue streams meaning that there is very little uncertainty of work tailing off. If you have the following, the contacts and the desire to make your mark at partner level then this prospect is ideally placed to take your career to the next level.

On offer is a competitive salary and one of the best benefits package on the market which includes a generous holiday allowance of 27 days with the option to carry some entitlement over, private healthcare and medical insurance. You will also benefit from a fantastic working environment with real scope for career advancement in a progressive and dynamic practice.
