A Legal 500 firm are providing an exciting opportunity for a Court of Protection Paralegal to join their flourishing team in Tunbridge Wells, Kent with good career prospects. The firm has grown significantly in recent years and are highly ranked in the Legal 500 and are top tier across several areas dealing with a local, National and International client base. They are an incredibly profitable business with a strong management team. They are progressive and believe in nurturing talent, investing heavily in their workforce with many of their Partners being home grown.

This is an excellent opportunity for someone with good Court of Protection technical expertise, client relationship skills and an interest in business development to join.

The Private Client department is highly regarded and Chambers-rated enjoying a strong profile throughout the region and beyond. Although you will work within the Private Client department, you will work exclusively with Court of Protection matters. The Court of Protection team is recognised for its specialist experience involving people who lack mental capacity to make decisions for themselves. The department deals with a wide client base including severely disabled clients and those with learning difficulties, mental health problems or due to the result of sustaining an acquired brain injury following an accident or medical negligence. The team also manages the affairs of many elderly clients who are suffering from dementia.

  • Ability to assimilate and analyse large amounts of information with great attention to detail
  • Polite and persuasive manner with good presentation skills and the ability to argue a case successfully
  • Well organised with good technical knowledge of Court of Protection matters
  • Ability to undertake a variety of work
  • Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to build strong relationships with clients
  • Salary is above market rate and negotiable depending on your level of experience, plus an excellent benefits package
