Newly-Qualified Planning Lawyer required to join a local authority based in Surrey for an initial 3 month period.
This is a great opportunity for an ambitious planning lawyer to work within a small team as part of a friendly local authority. Our client is happy to consider Planning Lawyers from a local authority or private practice background, making this a fantastic opportunity for a newly-qualified lawyer to get a foot in the door of a public sector organisation.
The role will involve owning a caseload of complex planning matters, including section 106 agreements, enforcement notices and compulsory purchase orders. Planning related litigation including judicial reviews and other statutory challenge applications will also be undertaken. The successful candidate will act as an advocate on behalf of the local authority at planning inquires, as well as advising at Planning Committee.
There is the opportunity to accommodate flexible working for the successful candidate, including the possibility to work from home one day per week. The local authority office is easily commutable from London, accessible by car and public transport.
We encourage interested applicants to apply immediately to be considered for short listing. Alternatively should you require further information or wish to discuss your suitability before applying please contact Rayhaneh Tehrani in our Manchester office for a confidential discussion.
