Education Solicitor

My client has is a market leader in the Education space and is looking for a Solicitor with a varied background to join its team.

About the Education Solicitor Role:

The Education team advises a range of clients in the education sector including higher education institutions, academies as well as providers in the private sector. You will join a small but instrumental team and advise on matters on a regional, national and international basis.

The Education team has a long-standing reputation and provide you with the opportunity to advise on a range education matters.

As part of the Education team your duties will include:

• Conducting a varied caseload including: governance, regulatory and commercial matters.
• Being involved in project work for the sector including bid work.
• Assisting with establishing contractual and corporate joint ventures.
• Advising on corporate governance matters.
• Involvement with business development and marketing activities will be extremely beneficial.

The Successful Education Solicitor:

• Will be a UK qualified solicitor (or overseas equivalent) with evidence of good quality training and commercial or property litigation experience gained from one of the UK's leading regional law firms .
• Have at least 3 years' PQE but this does not preclude applications from differing levels. Please note there is an expectation to manage own files from the outset.
• A knowledge of charity work would be desirable but not essential.
• Demonstrate a commitment to the West Midlands.This well established and highly regarded National law firm with a national reputation and is particularly well known for its expertise in real estate, litigation, corporate and private client.
