Locum Commercial Property Solicitor

A local authority in the East Midlands are currently recruiting for a Commercial Property Lawyer for a locum assignment that will run for 3 months minimum, with the likelihood of further extension beyond this initial period.

Our client is a well respected local authority with a large established legal team. Due to continued growth, they are seeking to add a locum lawyer to their property team to deal with complex and high profile work.

This position is offered on a full time basis with the successful candidate working 37 hours each week.

This position welcomes applications from qualified Solicitors, Barristers and Legal Executives. Non qualified candidates who can demonstrate the relevant experience are also welcome to apply.

Duties will include:

• Advising on all aspects of commercial property work on behalf of the local authority including leases, licenses, acquisitions, disposals and Landlord & Tenant matters
• Advising in respect of high level and complex conveyancing and other property related legal work
• Dealing with disposals involving working with partners in collaboration arrangements and overage and clawback agreements
• Drafting all appropriate legal documentation, liaising with clients, external lawyers and other professionals

In return for this work the candidate will earn a competitive hourly rate of £30 - £40 per hour.
