Your new role
The firm's Clinical Negligence team based in London are looking for two junior-mid PQE level Associate Solicitors to support the team's Partners in running an extensive and varied caseload of high profile healthcare claims. This is a great opportunity to join a highly reputable department, ranked in the top tier for Defendant Clinical Negligence in both Chambers & Partners and Legal 500.

This defendant only practice regularly advises the NHS, numerous NHS Trusts, the Medical Protection Society and numerous medical malpractice insurers of private hospitals and clinics on a variety of clinical negligence claims. Defendant clinical negligence experience preferred, as is the ability to run your own caseload under supervision. Previous client contact and attendance at business development events is desirable.

You will need to be able to give and take instruction, apply a forensic approach, and deliver commercially pragmatic solutions. You will need to be proactive and take initiative, with strong communication skills both verbal and written, be able to manage your own time, demonstrate excellent organisation skills and strong technical and research skills. A flexible attitude towards working practices and an ability to adapt style as required for supervision purposes are a prerequisite. You should be confident in your own abilities and in your approach, a solid team player, approachable and responsive to both colleagues and clients, self-motivated and enthusiastic.

What you'll get in return
The firm offers a vibrant and supportive working environment built upon its core values; they are approachable, responsive, trustworthy and straightforward. They pride themselves on high quality client instructions, are committed to investing in the learning and development of their lawyers and support staff at all levels, and encourage their lawyers to build relationships and take part in business development opportunities.
