They are looking for two new legal executives to grow their already 7-strong legal team. Your role will be negotiate and agree terms of appointments, warranties, deeds of novation, sub-consultancy and confidentially agreements on behalf of the LLP.
Your duties will include but not be limited to:
*Administrate the negotiation process ( ins such manner and timeframe as the Appointments Manager shall require) from the initial stages leading to final recommendation, execution and archive of documentation, so that the LLP can accept the legal and insurance terms agreed, and ensure they comply with the LLP's current PI insurances
*Assist in drafting legal documents including appointments and collateral warranties
*Monitor any delays in the negotiation of appointments and understand the impact this has on fee payments and commercial best practice, and report thereon to the Appointments Manager in a timely manner
*Monitor and deal with any potential "conflicts of interest" which arise and liaise with the Appointments Manager as necessary
*Ensure that all appointments comply with the LLP's procedures in the Business Management System (BMS)
*Incorporate legislative changes and best practice issues within appointment policies documents and procedures, and liaise thereon with the Appointments Manager
*Provide support to other members of the Legal Team from time to time as directed by the Company Secretary and General Counsel.
It is essential you will have 2-5 years experience in a similar role, utilising the same skills. Ideally you will be a qualified lawyer or surveyor but not essential. A qualified Legal Executive is the minimum they would expect.
