My client, a well known name in Financial Markets, is looking for a Legal Counsel to join their In House Legal Team on a temporary basis. Providing Maternity Cover for a permanent member of staff, you will be based in Birmingham City Centre for a 9-12 month contract.

My client, a well known name in Financial Markets, is looking for a Legal Counsel to join their In House Legal Team on a temporary basis. Providing Maternity Cover for a permanent member of staff, you will be based in Birmingham City Centre for a 9-12 month contract.

The team provides a wide range of global products such as account opening, electronic banking and liquidity management solutions to global corporates and financial institutions in Europe, Asia and the Americas.

Day to day duties include, but are not limited to:

• Reviewing templates and negotiating terms & conditions for products & services with global clients
• Structuring documentation for solutions which are complex and tailored to clients' specific needs
• Interacting with colleagues to facilitate the implementation of client specific terms and conditions
• Assisting in the introduction of existing products into new markets

The ideal candidate would be a Solicitor, Barrister or Lawyer with a background in financial services, banking or corporate law. You must be able to 'hit the ground running' with a varied and demanding caseload.

My client offers a supportive and collaborative working environment and you will be based in modern, comfortable offices in an accessible location. The salary for the role is £40,000 - £50,000 per annum (dependant on experience).
