THE FIRM
This Lexcel-accredited firm, smart, efficient and friendly, has an exceptionally busy property team dealing with instructions from across the country and from investors outside the UK. The firm is now looking to cover a period of maternity leave within the conveyancing team based in central Northampton. This is an interesting role dealing with post-completions work and would be ideal for an ambitious junior conveyancer or paralegal with a conveyancing background who is looking to gain some additional experience with a well-regarded firm. This is an excellent opportunity to work for a firm which prides itself on long-term career progression, and show them what you can do.
THE ROLE
You will be undertaking a range of administrative matters in the property team, supporting conveyancing fee-earners. This will include preparing and finalising Stamp Duty returns and dealing with the Land Registry, preparing invoices and producing reports. The role calls for good levels of numeracy and written and spoken English, the ability to work quickly but with great attention to detail, and a general willingness to take on other matters and support the team as required. You need previous experience in a similar role and to be confident that you can work quickly and accurately. THE CANDIDATE
You will:-
Have some relevant previous experience within a conveyancing team;
Be confident, with very good spoken and written English, a professional demeanour and first-class client-care skills;
Have excellent numeracy skills;
Have good time management skills and a detailed, focused approach to your work;
Enjoy working in a team.
