In-House Legal Counsel

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an in-house legal counsel to join a successful business based in Nottingham to focus on a range of commercial legal matters.

Our client is a successful business based in Nottingham and is one of the largest importers of home products in the United Kingdom. The company supplies a whole spectrum of customers from the largest retailers with a few hundred shops to small independent retailers.

The main remit of the role will be reviewing, drafting and negotiating a wide range of commercial agreements, company secretarial work, intellectual property (IP) including brand protection, employment/HR, commercial property and some corporate work. You will need to be highly commercial in your approach since you will work closely with the sales team, purchasing department, customer services, quality control and human resources.

This is a role which would suit a UK qualified solicitor with c.1-3 years PQE in company/commercial work, and ideally also with experience of IP. Strong academics and excellent training gained from a leading law firm or an in-house legal department is highly desired.
