Leading Wall Street firm – Counsel position – Funds (Hedge Fund/Private Equity)

A leading Wall Street firm based in Asia is looking for a strong funds lawyer to join their team in line with their expansion. Due to how busy the team are they have a new headcount for a counsel to join the team in the Hong Kong office where you act as a mentor to the juniors.

In this role you will be part of a highly colligate team of 6. The team and team members all share a passion for their work and offer each other a tremendous amount of support. The role will be focusing on mentoring and supporting the juniors and offering guidance where needed as well as getting involved in the transactions yourself. You will also be given the chance to do business development and go out and win work for the team and work with clients from both the US & PRC.

What they are looking for in this candidate is someone with substantial experience in funds, strong leadership skills and a desire to push towards partnership as this will be the track on offer.

The Requirements
6+ years post qualification experience
Experience with private equity or hedge funds
Fluency in Mandarin is highly advantageous
Team Player
Solid Leadership skills
