Court of Protection Paralegal.
A new instruction at a highly respected Legal 200 regional law firm to join the recognised Private Client department dealing with Court of Protection are seeking a paralegal with a financial/ accounting background.
This area of law is thriving and highly ranked in this field with Court of Protection currently being conducted by the Partner who has gained a strong reputation. The team combine legal expertise with financial management and planning, investments, tax returns and accounting services.
As a Court of Protection Paralegal your role will be to handle a range of services including; dealing with updating accounts spreadsheet, record bank transactions, annual reports, basic tax return/calculations, cost budgeting, implementing/chasing financial advice, reviewing statements for financial abuse and create a report, make applications/security bonds, liaise with police re financial abuse.
A mixture of skills will make you successful in this role which would include technical proficiency in accounting and finance, strong communication skills and a sensitive approach to your clients. You will engage with a range of clients and therefore must be able to develop strong relationships, providing support but still with a focus for the work involved.
