In House Legal Counsel
US Multinational Company
United Kingdom

Major US Multinational Software company is seeking to hire a talented lawyer as part of their EMEAR Legal Team to be based in London or Thames Valley, UK.

One of the largest software companies in the world and a leading provider of IT management solutions, this business was one of the first traditional software companies to embrace the cloud and social and currently supports 92% of the FORTUNE 100 companies. The senior management has succeeded in building  an organisation that can simultaneously execute in its existing markets while capitalising on waves of disruption.

This company has been leading the way for IT management for 30+ years. Unlike other tech giants that were left behind by shifts in technology, the business has continuously driven leadership and change in its markets. By adapting its business and its industry-leading IT service desk products for the cloud, the company has expanded its customer base and stayed ahead of the innovation curve.

The legal team are at the forefront company's expansion and scaling - both in the UK and internationally. The hiring manager for the role is an open and caring individual keen to develop their team and to give a lot of responsibility while providing the required support and training.

What will you be accountable for?

Structuring, negotiating and drafting:
- Cloud / Tech Contracts (high value software licensing and development agreements, support and maintenance agreements, hosting agreements, SaaS agreements, service level agreements, master services/framework agreements, cloud agreements (including G-Cloud)).
- Commercial Contracts (master credit agreements, collaboration agreements, parent guarantees, partner network agreements, reseller agreements, sub-licensing agreements, subcontracting agreements, settlement agreements and novation agreements).

Advising on regulatory issues (data protection / security / privacy compliance)

This role would ideally suit someone with experience in a fast-paced in-house or private practice team, who is looking to help shape the legal team at a growing, high-performing company.

However, we recognise that the most talented people can have the most unusual backgrounds, so if you’re unsure, please apply. The role will be based in Thames Valley, UK.

Who are we looking for?

You are a talented commercial lawyer with 1-5 years PQE either in-house or at a firm. You are able to communicate well and develop good working relationships with members of the business. You pride yourself on delivering work of a high standard and quality. You enjoy taking initiative and responsibility and are well organised. You are willing to take on complex tasks and projects. You are happy to roll up your sleeves and get stuck and enjoy working with a team to get the best results.

The recruitment process is fast and efficient (2 meetings and a call with US GC) with immediate feedback from interviewers.

We have strong relationship with the hiring team so will advise whether this organisation would be the best fit to your skills, experience and aspirations. Once shortlisted, will receive extensive preparation and guidance for every interview.
