A highly reputable investment management firm is looking to bring on a Legal Counsel to join their team for a twelve-month fixed term contract on a part-time basis (working 3 days a week). The firm is based in the West End.
About the role
Reporting into the legal team's Senior Manager, the Legal Counsel will be responsible for providing legal assistance to the firm's data protection and GDPR implementation project.
Key responsibilities
- Providing support and legal advice to the firm in relation to its GDPR implementation project
- Reviewing and negotiating on a significant and varied suite of existing and new third-party contracts/addendums to ensure GDPR conformity and compliance
- Assisting the GDPR project team on the design and roll out of the firm's GDPR policies and procedures
- Assisting with the GDPR project team on the firm's training program for employees
- Undertaking general corporate/commercial legal work as and when required
Key requirements
- Qualified solicitor with at least three years PQE
- Proven knowledge and experience of advising on data privacy issues, including GDPR
- In-house experience preferred
