HR Assistant (Learning & Development) - Job Description
Job Purpose
To provide first line administrative support to the HR Director who is also the L&D Principal at IBB. This role is essential to the timely co-ordination and high quality delivery of a full and varied programme of managerial and technical training events for both legal and non-legal staff. Additionally, this job holder has the scope to contribute to the wider delivery of HR Operations and will be fully involved in HR projects and generalist support to the firm.
Responsible for:
• Day to day administrative support to the HR Director/L&D Principal as part of Business Support Group (BSG) Directorate in developing and implementing the IBB L&D strategy.
• Assisting with the identification and implementation of appropriate training and development activities for partners, solicitors and business support staff.
• Sourcing external training providers; co-ordinating facilities and IT support; responsible for briefing trainers and hosting internal training activities from set up to completion.
• Liaison with training providers to ensure that indentified needs are met and that delivery is contemporary, high quality and regularly reviewed to ensure continuous improvement.
• Evaluation and reporting on the success/shortfalls of learning interventions.
• The maintenance and proactive management of centrally held training records to ensure legal practicing standards are upheld.
• Assistance with the co-ordination of community and schools liaison initiatives (student placement schemes; access to legal career presentations etc.).
• Assistance with the co-ordination of the annual trainee assessment programme.
• Assistance with L&D budgetary reporting.
• Support to the LawNet Quality standard review.
• Assist with Production of Training Materials.
