The Intellectual Property practice has 5 partners and 20 Associates based in London. We provide an integrated service to clients on a broad range of contentious and non-contentious IP issues, frequently on a multijurisdictional basis.
We act for financial, commercial and industrial clients in communications, software, biotechnology, pharmaceuticals, broadcasting and entertainment, publishing, mechanical engineering, energy, consumer products and financial and banking services.
Role Summary
We are looking for high achieving IP lawyers to undertake a range of high profile, varied and complex international work. You will be given a high degree of responsibility and will be part of a cohesive department that places great emphasis on developing and supporting your career.
Key Responsibilities and Deliverables
- IP transactional work (trade marks, patents, design rights, advertising and marketing properties, copyright and unfair competition);
- IP litigation (particularly patent, trade mark, copyright and confidential information litigation);
- pharmaceuticals, biotechnology and healthcare (patent litigation, licensing and transactional work across the sector);
- internet-related advice (e-commerce, m-commerce and new media issues, including website development, encryption, e-banking and licensing issues as well as international cyber-piracy and domain name disputes);
- IP portfolio management (including IP strategies, structure and management of portfolios within specific company tax structures, protection and enforcement);
- telecoms transactional work (such as roaming agreements, interconnection agreements and network outsourcing agreements); and
- data protection (advising on 'stand-alone' projects and corporate transactions).

- High quality lawyer with strong technical and commercial background.
- Good experience at a leading IP practice.
