About you:
We are looking for two senior solicitors/associates with a background in corporate/commercial law/energy and resources to join our leading Mergers & Acquisitions/Energy & Resources team.
You will have:
- excellent analytical, communication and research skills - to deliver prompt and commercially astute advice
- strong commitment to client service and well-developed relationship management ability - you will play a key role in supporting and actively developing our relationships with clients
- team focus - to mentor junior colleagues and ensure the effective performance of the group
- enthusiasm to be involved in business development activities - presenting at industry related programs and managing strategic relationships and networks, and
- first rate experience of negotiating, drafting documents (including agreements, memoranda of advice, reports etc).
You will have recognised experience gained in a similar environment and enjoy working as part of a committed team.
About the team:
We have worked on some of Australia's and Asia's most complex transactions and act for the region's largest and most significant public companies, major financial institutions and global investment banks.
Our team advise on takeovers, schemes of arrangement, energy and resources projects, company restructures and mergers to give clients a competitive commercial edge. Teamwork is important - we work closely as a team and with other practice groups. It is a great place to learn and be challenged.
In this role, you will work closely with John Humphrey, Partner and Robert Jackson, Partner.
