Banking & Finance Lawyer

Job Description
Our clients Banking and Finance practice supports their Corporate Department with advice on a diverse range of UK and international transactions involving either bank finance and security or intra-group financing on tax-driven structures.

In addition, they also handle a wide variety of issues relating to banking and finance which are generated from their international network of firms.

They are seeking to develop the banking and finance practice with the assistance of a qualified solicitor who is able to work successfully across a variety of differing transactions.



Responsibilities
The team offers the following services;

Advising borrowers on new or amended facilities and security including implementing the satisfaction of all condition precedents
Implementing intra-group financing arrangements on international and domestic corporate structurings
Advising on group cash pooling and netting arrangements
Carrying out due diligence audits
Researching and advising on technical issues related to financing and security and their impact on tax-driven structures
Advising on specialist finance leasing arrangements



The Individual
They are interested in hearing from solicitors with the following experience;

broad mainstream banking and finance knowledge and experience
relevant industry exposure
The successful candidate will demonstrate the following technical skills;

good knowledge and understanding of legal principals within own practice area along with a good working knowledge of other practice areas
able to identify and analyse detailed legal and commercial issues
able to draft legal documents for clients including new and complex points of law seeking input from senior colleagues on more technical matters
select appropriate legal precedents for use in communication
keeps up to date with current law through reading, attending seminars/forums
