Banking PSL - Job Description
We are looking to recruit an experienced professional support lawyer to provide know-how and professional support services to the Banking Group. Areas of law covered include transactional banking, property finance, asset finance, acquisition finance, cross-border finance, syndicated and bilateral lending, intra-group lending, corporate recovery and securitisation.
The successful candidate will be a senior qualified lawyer with significant experience as a practitioner in a leading international law firm. It is expected that the successful candidate will have outstanding training and communication skills bringing significant experience in delivering and presenting technical substantive legal training.
The role would include:
• Delivering technical (substantive) legal training for the group;
• Providing prompt, ad hoc advice on a range of questions and assist in the resolution of drafting and practical issues arising in transactions;
• Review developments in banking law;
• Review developments in which the group might have an interest in including case summaries and articles of interest;
• Supervise the production of internal news bulletins;
• Draft and maintain standard documents , practice notes and checklists;
• Carry out specific research tasks and create information packs of relevant documents;
• Research and write articles for inclusion in bulletins;
• Assist with the preparation of business pitches and other marketing initiatives;
• Organise client seminars (including breakfast briefings);
• Assist with management of key clients;
• Supervise know-how database;
• Production of material for elexica; and
• Assisting fee-earners by reviewing registration documents for submission to Companies House and elsewhere.
