It is often perceived that the advantage of moving to a smaller office of a US firm is the variety of work you can become involved in, not to mention the money. This is certainly true in this case. As well as this the work is exceptionally high quality, the team's focus is on giving commercial legal advice to top tier clients involved in both debt and equity transactions within established and emerging markets.
London is seen as a crucial growth centre by the firm and a hub for European, Middle Eastern and Asia deals. As such, the firm has appointed one of the London based partners “Global Co-Head of Department”.
With this firm you will likely work similar hours to where you are currently, have a similar, if not better chance of making partner and earn significantly more (than a UK firm) in the process. You will need to have experience at a top UK or US practice.
JD Legal focuses on the placement of solicitors and attorneys into US and International law firms in London and internationally.
