Charities & Community Solicitor - London

This is a newly created role to join this firm's successful Charity and Community Team undertaking all aspects of charity advisory work, acting for not only functional and grant-making charities but also NDPBs and social enterprises. Responsibilities include: charity formation and registration, incorporation, merger/joint-working structures, governance, fundraising and regulation; providing advice to charity trustees, volunteers, fundraisers and sponsors; direct and indirect tax advice to donors and charities; providing advice on the structuring of commercial activities including trading subsidiary formation and financing, social enterprise and social investment; advising charities on the use of Charity Commission enabling powers, obtaining advice, schemes and orders and acting for charities and trustees subject to Commission investigation; assisting charities with their administration and good governance. This role will report to a Partner and work in a team which currently comprises 4 Partners, 4 Assistants, a Consultant, a PSL and a two Trainees.
