A local authority based in the North West is currently looking for a solicitor with experience of commercial contracts and related legal issues. You will have gained experience of dealing with a varied commercial contracts workload either in a local authority or private practice. You will need to demonstrate good commercial acumen and negotiation skills as well as being able to prioritise your workload and work to tight deadlines and under pressure where required.
Participating in bid preparation and contract negotiation including attending meetings.
Participating in major projects to ensure legal risk is minimised and commercial objectives are achieved.
Reviewing and revising supplier contracts.
Revising and updating contract signing and approval procedures.
The contracts you will be advising on will consist of a mixture including IT, Service, Procurement and PFI. However previous experience within any mixture of contracts will be considered.
