Commercial Lawyer - West London

As a result of LGC’s continued success, they are currently seeking a Legal Advisor to report directly to the Group Legal Advisor & Company Secretary at their headquarters in Teddington. This is a wonderful opportunity for a first-class commercial lawyer, who is eager to gain high quality in-house commercial and corporate experience in a fast growing science-based environment. A keen interest in science and /or science-based degree is not essential but would be highly advantageous.

The role will be highly diverse and will include responsibility for advising upon, drafting and negotiating a broad range of general commercial contracts (including tenders, confidentiality, service, collaboration, distribution and licence agreements), providing sound legal and commercially-focussed advice to all areas of our highly technical business. You will also work closely with the Group Legal Advisor on various matters including assisting on M&A, corporate, company secretarial and litigation. Experience in any of intellectual property, data protection, e-commerce, competition, property or employment laws will also be useful.

The successful candidate will be expected to work autonomously, be able to liaise with senior management and be keen to learn from the experience of others. You will have excellent analytical skills, with high attention to detail and sound judgment. You will enjoy working in an intellectually rigorous environment where you will be encouraged to be proactive, manage a varied portfolio and increase commercial awareness.
