Nabarro are seeking a Legal Secretary to join their Real Estate Department based in the London office.

The Real Estate Department is currently made up of 38 secretaries, with the majority supporting one partner and two fee earners.
Job Description
Supporting one partner and two fee earners, you will be responsible for:
- Audio and copy typing of memos, correspondence and legal documentation to a high standard of accuracy, within deadlines (approximately 80% typing).
- Oversee client administration for several significant clients and liaising with clients accordingly
- Accurate, efficient diary management. Co-ordination / planning of appointments
- Organisation of internal and external meetings, conferences, client lunches, social events and making the necessary travel arrangements in relation to these events
- Handling telephone enquiries in a professional and polite manner, taking accurate messages
- Dealing with incoming/outgoing emails and post quickly and efficiently, using initiative to action yourself where appropriate
- Using online Searchflow and Land Registry Direct
- Engrossing and amending documents
- Opening and closing files in accordance with standard office procedures
- Producing billing guides and proformas as required
- Dealing with monthly billing, amending time narratives etc as appropriate
- Ensuring all filing is accurate and kept up-to-date
- Maintaining client contact details for accuracy and ease of use
- Dealing with internal and external clients, up to and including Board level, with professionalism and consideration
- Taking a proactive approach to building relationships with clients and their secretaries on a professional basis.
Personal Specification
- Minimum of 4 years legal secretarial experience, with at least 2 years in commercial property
- Time management skills - able to work to tight deadlines ensuring a high standard of accuracy
- Customer Service skills - dealing with queries from internal and external clients in a professional, polite and considerate manner
- Organisational skills - able to work closely with Microsoft Outlook to organise manage diaries and organise meetings, using initiative and a proactive approach
- Prioritisation skills - able to take responsibility for own tasks and prioritise work between all 3 fee-earners
- Communication Skills - able to communicate with internal and external clients in a confident and assertive manner. Also able to work calmly and efficiently, autonomously under pressure
- Team Player - able to work as a team member support other secretaries as appropriate
- Maintain high levels of confidentiality, discretion and diplomacy
- Proficient in Word 2000, Outlook and occasional use of PowerPoint and Excel. MOS Word Expert level desirable.
