Client
Top level city firm with a strong reputation for commercial litigation and arbitration, as well as insurance and reinsurance is looking for a PSL to sit within their Commercial Risk team reporting to the Risk and Compliance Partner. Their approach to the PSL function is fantastic and the partners and departmental heads fully support and champion the service that the Knowledge Management team provide. As a PSL you will play an integral and important part of the 10 strong PSL team that will manage and execute key knowledge, business and practice development projects and initiatives.
You
No previous PSL or risk-related experience is required but you should ideally have at least 2 years good quality post qualification experience of commercial litigation, a strong desire and passion in the law, the ability to write accurate practical guidance and precedents and train others using training and awareness programmes. This is a really exciting role, as it is a brand new position joining one other PSL in the department, and you will play a major part in developing risk management awareness and pushing through new initiatives.
Role
Preparation of guidance and precedents to help the Commercial Risk & Insurance Litigation within the firm
Monitoring legal and regulatory developments and making and implementing recommendations from a commercial risk perspective
Design and implementation of systems to ensure key guidance and precedents are applied in practice
Development and delivery of litigation-related training and awareness
