There is currently a vacancy for a Commercial Solicitor with investment experience. The key element of the role is to provide legal services and support to the Group, including business operations located in the UK, Isle of Man and Hong Kong and other jurisdictions:
•To assist the Director of Legal Services: Investment in delivering his or her accountabilities, and to act at their request on the Director's behalf in his/ her absence in connection to Financial Services and assist in the creation of a legal centre of excellence both in terms of knowledge, support and highly developed interpersonal skills
•To assist with the management of relationships of a diverse panel of external law firms which Financial Services will need to engage, to ensure that the businesses are being provided with an excellent quality of service which is efficient, cost effective and delivered on time and within the expectation of clients
•To work independently, and always within the overarching framework of supporting the Group's legal community to which the role is aligned
•To manage those members of the Investment Legal Team that report directly to them in terms of those members' day-do-day work, setting objectives, and prioritisation and with regard to their diverse developmental and training needs.

The successful candidate should be a fully qualified lawyer, with some solid post qualification experience in the investments/ financial services field. They should also have a comprehensive knowledge of all aspects of commercial law with a bias towards insurance and/ or authorised fund-based investments.
