PR & COMMS MANAGER - CHINA - Job Description

A new role at this growing international law firm for a PR & Communications professional looking for a Hong Kong-based role.

This is a broad role which covers public relations, communications, business development coordination and management. You will be responsible for positioning the China Practice as the elite integrated international law firm in China through PR activities and marketing communications. In addition you will need to ensure that all regionwide activities support and advance the firm’s global brand positioning. The successful candidate will contribute to the formulation and implementation of a public relations strategy for the China practice as a whole as well as individual practice groups in China.
There will be a great deal of contact with the partners of the China practice and you will assist in the implementation and monitoring of the plans within the region and internationally where appropriate. Within this role you will also work closely with the wider international PR/Communications team and you will develop good working relationships with key journalists (including at the FT and SCMP) and arrange meetings/briefings around relevant issues. You will be responsible for Drafting media releases as required and respond to press and media enquiries in consultation with relevant partners.
You will also provide PR and Communications strategic support to other functions when required, including overseeing client events.
The successful candidate will have previous PR & Communications experience in a professional services environment and will be very hands-on in approach.
