Construction Lawyer - Eversheds, Nottingham - Job Description

We are looking for a solicitor to join our Nottingham based Construction Litigation team. The team works closely with its local Real Estate team, acting for some of the regions biggest and most active Developers, and is currently advising on all of the construction aspects of several National Town Centre Re-development projects valued in excess of £100m, from ground remediation works, to demolition, through to construction.

You will possess strong technical skills and academic qualifications, have experience of working on construction and engineering matters and be keen to develop a career in this specialised area of law. You will be expected to demonstrate experience in advising on all the major standard forms of contract including standard form building contracts and sub contracts from the JCT family, as well as an awareness of the other standard forms of construction and engineering contracts commonly used.

You will be familiar with the most common issues arising under construction and engineering contracts, and to be able to advise on the inter party disputes that can arise. Familiarity with and ideally some experience of the various dispute resolution forums including litigation, arbitration, adjudication and other forms of alternative dispute resolution would be an advantage.

You must have exceptional communication, influencing and technical skills and knowledge. We would expect you to be able to demonstrate competency in managing quality, risk and financial matters, and an interest, if not yet direct experience of marketing and business development

If you are interested and think you have the right attributes for the role you can apply direct online. For an informal chat, contact Nikki Rudge on 0845 497 1758 or email to nikkirudge@eversheds.com for further information
