Construction Lawyer – Cardiff/South West England – Legal 500 Firm

The Role –
You will assist the Cardiff based team to grow the construction practice in Wales and England. ·Dealing with construction related disputes across the myriad of dispute resolution methods. You should have a mixture of experience of advising in the myriad of dispute resolution methods including statutory adjudication, mediation, expert determination, litigation and arbitration
The position is based in the Cardiff office but it may involve some part time working other offices in Wales and the South West England offices from time to time to service client’s needs and therefore the your base has some flexibility.
The construction team is based within the commercial practice area. The commercial practice area operates as one team across the Thames Valley and South Wales, so there will also be occasional trips to Thames Valley to liaise and integrate with the other construction teams.
The contentious work varies from straightforward development work and JCT contracts, to complicated engineering projects using contracts such as IChem, FIDIC, ICE, NEC and bespoke project contracts
Experience –
The ideal candidate will have gained between two and five years PQE. Although all levels of experience would be considered. You may have specialised primarily in contentious construction but has had some experience (albeit limited) in non-contentious work and therefore be able to assist where required with the mix of work.
