Construction Solicitor (non-contentious)

We are looking for a solicitor with around 5 years recent relevant experience of non-contentious construction work to work alongside Jane Ryland and her team. In addition to handling your own caseload important areas of the role will be to be actively involved in both business development and coaching more junior fee earners. This is an opportunity for someone who enjoys an interactive team role servicing a wide range of both internal and external clients.

Construction is a growing team and the position offers excellent career opportunities. Our existing property developer client base is supplemented by major contractors and consultancies. We also act for both public and private sector organisations on a national scale including central government agencies, local authorities, housing associations and investment portfolios.

Non-contentious work often involves working closely with our prestigious real estate teams, advising on and drafting building contracts, development agreements, professional retainers, warranties and bonds.

Although our main requirement is for non-contentious experience some knowledge of and experience of contentious work would be helpful although not essential. Contentious work includes adjudication, arbitration and TCC cases as well as the provision of specialist commercial advice.
