As part of the General Counsel Department, this role will provide a broad range of company commercial and corporate legal services to the business units and support functions of Chubb Insurance across Europe, with a particular emphasis on regulatory law. Chubb Insurance is currently in the process of redomiciling its registered office from Belgium to the UK. This role will therefore also be instrumental in advising on the regulatory law aspects of that project.

The ideal candidate must have good knowledge and experience of company commercial law with a strong background in insurance law. Expertise is required in the areas of insurance regulatory law, in particular FSA prudential and sourcebook rules and regulations (including Principles Based Regulation, ICOBS, complaints handling rules, treating customers fairly (TCF) regulations), competition law, data protection law, trade sanctions, anti-money laundering law, etc.

A good team player with excellent communications skills, confidence in taking personal responsibility and the ability to quickly digest complex legal issues involving an international dimension whilst providing concise, accurate, pragmatic and timely commercial advice, will succeed in the role.
