Corporate Finance Lawyer

Group C1 specialises in public and private M&A, equity capital markets, corporate finance and company and commercial law. The work has an increasing cross-border focus reflecting Lovells' international capabilities and anyone working as part of the team can expect to liaise closely with the corporate teams in Lovells' offices outside London.

Lovells has been consistently ranked as a leading player in M&A activity by both Chambers and Legal 500 with many of the partners in the group being named as leading practitioners in this area by the legal journals. The team's prime focus is on advising corporates, investment banks and other financial institutions. The wider team is broadly focused on a number of sectors, including financial institutions, life sciences, consumer, media and property and regularly undertakes work in relation to these and other sectors.

The team works closely with other practice streams on high profile transactions within the firm both domestically and internationally. This enables an in depth knowledge of the markets which the team services and allows for practical and commercial advice to be given to clients.

The group has been very busy throughout the course of this year and our objective is to expand gradually the London team to service the increased workflow resulting from the team's success in attracting new work and continually to give members of the team the opportunity to be involved in client secondments.

Within the team we are already taking on two newly qualified solicitors but are seeking one additional lawyer with approximately 2-3 years post-qualification experience or similar experience. The candidate should have trained and be currently working at a top City practice or a leading practice in another jurisdiction.
