Corporate Lawyer - Oil & Gas - Job Description

The lawyers in our International Corporate Group provide transactional and advisory services across a range of markets and industry sectors.

Our oil & gas team has advised clients on all aspects of the oil & gas business including high value cross border and domestic mergers and acquisitions (both corporate and asset deals), larger scale development projects, LNG, EOR projects, financings, joint ventures, investment and private equity deals and capital market transactions. We are one of the leading firms specialising in oil & gas IPO work.

All our core oil & gas lawyers have several years of experience with major international energy companies as well as working in top law firms.

Our lawyers act for a range of clients including:

·Oil & gas exploration, development and production companies
·Offshore contractors e.g. seismic operators, drilling companies, construction companies, FPSO contractors and standby/supply vessel operators
·Oil & gas transmission, storage and distribution companies

The ideal candidates will be people who fit into the Firm’s culture which is dynamic, enterprising, creative, cosmopolitan and hard working.

The candidate must:

·be a UK qualified practitioner with between 4 and 6 years relevant and high quality experience;
·have proven technical skills in one or more of the relevant areas;
·have substantial experience of acting on major cases;
·be prepared to take a very hands on approach to case work.
