Hamilton Bradshaw is a Private Equity firm, headed by BBC’s Dragons’ Den panellist James Caan. Located in London’s Mayfair, we focus on Buyouts, Development Capital and Special situations including turnarounds. We seek meaningful stakes in companies where operating management will have a significant holding and we support their expansion and development.
OPPORTUNITY
We are looking for a qualified smart commercial lawyer to work with our team of Investment Directors on various aspects of Private Equity transactions, providing support in all areas of legal and commercial contracts and regulation.
Our Investment Directors deal with MBOs and MBIs, share issues and debt raising, investments and joint ventures, acquisitions and disposals, employment and property issues. The role will also involve liaising with the firm’s external legal and other advisors. This role will be central to the effectiveness of the company and the development of Hamilton Bradshaw’s growing portfolio.
PERSON
The ideal candidate will have been qualified for between 3 and 5 years holding a 2:1 degree, preferably from a well recognised university, with experience as a qualified lawyer in commercial law. The individual must have an ability to work with minimal supervision on the appropriate deals and also the ability to work as part of a team with our Investment Directors.
You should have an eye for detail, strong communication skills and the ability to forge relationships with investment companies and colleagues.
Good organisational skills and time management are essential to this role along with the flexibility required to provide solutions quickly and meet tight deadlines which are typical in the work we do. You should be an ambitious person, eager to drive your own success and that of the team with a willingness to undertake new challenges.
