Our securities practice sits within the Corporate department which is the firm’s largest with over 200 lawyers in London. We act for private and public companies, banks, governments and states, amongst others. We are consistently ranked at the top of the league tables in Europe, Asia and globally. Most of our work has a cross-border element, requiring us to draw on the expertise of our corporate lawyers in other offices across the network.
Our lawyers will work on a range of securities offerings in London. Most of the work will have an international dimension and will range from some of the largest and most complex transactions to smaller deals which provide greater responsibility. We offer comprehensive training and career development for associates at all levels, and encourage secondments, both within our international network and to our clients.

Your main responsibilities as a Corporate Securities Associate will involve:
• Involvement in a wide range of equity securities, eurobonds, medium term notes, commercial paper programmes, high yield bonds, convertibles and other hybrid securities, project bonds and asset backed securities, warrant programmes and derivatives
• Although specialising in securities work, it is also possible to gain a broader experience in public and private M&A, joint ventures, private equity and general corporate advisory work, particularly during the earlier stages of your career
Your skills and qualifications as a Corporate Securities Associate will ideally include:
• Top class academic record
• High quality lawyer with strong technical and commercial background
• Debt capital markets is of particular interest
What we are looking for in you:
You will have strong technical and commercial abilities, and will be able to work effectively as part of a team and supervise more junior lawyers / trainees. You will have excellent communication skills and be able to take on a high degree of responsibility and manage a challenging workload. You must also be proactive and committed to providing an excellent service to our clients.
