Regulatory/Corporate Defence lawyer - Job Description
Our client, a commercial firm in the City, is currently looking to recruit a Regulatory/ Corporate Defence Solicitor who has 2 or more years PQE. The department would also welcome applications from any barristers with experience of this area of law and looking to move into private practice.
Ideally, you will have gained experience from a strong firm and have a background in dealing with general regulatory and criminal law. You will be able to demonstrate a sound working knowledge of Criminal Procedure Rules and have previous experience of dealing with Regulatory matters. Health and Safety experience would be beneficial, although not essential.
The position will involve a mix of contentious defence work including health and safety, environmental, trading standards, FSA investigations, fraud and dawn raids.
Whilst the role will be based in our client’s London office, regular UK travel may be required, in particular in the South. Candidates must be technically strong, commercially aware and enthusiastic about business development. They will be a team player with a strong client focus and a strong academic background, combined with excellent communication and organisational skills.
