Derivatives Lawyer

This role with one of Europe’s premier banks primarily involves working with front office business areas managing a broad range of derivatives and fixed income products. These cover equity, credit, fund, OTC and capital markets and there will also be some general banking issues to deal with.

The successful candidate will be the banks specialist lawyer in this area and will manage the complex legal issues arising from the range of products mentioned above. Specific duties may include:
• Preparing note issues, applying for listing and obtaining regulatory approvals.
• Expertise in ISDA and credit derivatives, equity derivatives, TRS, and fund linked derivatives.
• Performing related due diligence across jurisdictions.
• Knowledge and understanding of the structures and wide range of market documentation including that published by ISDA and other relevant industry bodies.
• Managing legal risks taken by the Bank in transactions worked on by the job holder.
• Corporate Banking transactions (Trade & Commodity Finance/Leveraged Finance).
