DIRECTOR OF BUSINESS DEVELOPMENT & MARKETING

The firm is now looking to recruit a Director of Business Development & Marketing to help take the business on to the next phase of growth. This role will report to the Chief Executive and will sit on the International Board of the firm. It will have responsibility and influence over a team of more than 30 marketing professionals across all international offices. The scope of this role will be broad and will cover all aspects of business development, marketing and communications, taking in more specialist aspects such as client relationship management, account management, e-marketing, brand development, public relations and external communications.
Specific requirements of the role will include the following:
• Outstanding people management skills and a demonstrable track record of recruiting, motivating and developing teams.
• An interest in and experience of how the use of sophisticated technology can further enhance the marketing and delivery of a professional firm’s services.
• Genuine international experience, notably across Europe, particularly in the context of effective cross-selling.
• Experience in strategic project management – delivering on time and to budget.
• An approach which embraces the need for sound business and market analysis which will inform an effective marketing strategy.
• Experience in developing a firm’s brand proposition in all its facets to provide genuine differentiation in a highly competitive market.
Ideal candidates for this role will have an impressive track record in a broad business development and marketing role. This will have been gained in either a legal or broader professional services (e.g. property, accountancy, consultancy) environment. You will have operated at board level, where you have influenced strategy but be equally at home getting your hands dirty on more operational matters.
